For those who possess the hard-worker gene, sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the momentum. Too many times we see people doing too much and pushing too hard without giving themselves a much needed resting point. People can almost feel as though they have missed out on their happiness, and this is not because they never find it, but because they never stop long enough to enjoy it. Talk about BURNOUT! The saying “stop and smell the roses” is actually pretty dead on. If you don’t make time to take a step back from what you’re doing in order to assess your progress and enjoy your achievements, what’s the point of working so hard all along? Who doesn’t want to revel in their accomplishments before continuing to garner more? Sometimes we are so focused on what we want that we miss out on the things we need most….
