Bad Habit #11: Forgetting Your Manners

It’s really unfortunate, but I find that a majority of people tend to forget their manners on a regular basis. Everything from please & thank you to not silencing your cell phone in certain places to the things you say and how you say them, there are tons of things we aren’t conscious of that really make a piss poor impression on other people (not to mention they can also be RUDE). When first impressions reign supreme, you have to really take the time to be cognizant of how you are carrying yourself around certain types of people (everyone, in fact).  I can’t tell you how many times I have come across people who have no awareness of the fact that they are embarrassing themselves by acting like they are constantly starring in a Worldstar video; get it together. In the real world, you’re constantly being judged on your mannerisms and how you handle certain situations; they say a lot about you, and without careful attention, they can become a hindrance for you as opportunities arise. Getcha manners up, mama ain’t raise no fool… and if you are reluctant to make changes or just don’t know how….fake it til you make it.
